Mulholland Drive has many similarities to Ingmar Bergman’s Persona. A common theme in the films is the dissolution of the female characters’ sense of self as their identities seem to merge. Mulholland Drive is a surreal cocktail of various nightmarish themes, a nerve-wracking, seductive and wonderfully confusing dream for a film. Intro by producer and editor Mary Sweeney.
