Cinema of Dreams – Lynch <3 Bergman

Mary Sweeney is an acclaimed film editor, producer, and writer recognized for her 20-year creative partnership with director David Lynch. From Blue Velvet to Inland Empire, Sweeney creatively influenced and shaped the unique, dreamlike narrative style of Lynch’s films. Currently, Sweeney serves as the Dino and Martha De Laurentiis’ Endowed Professor of Film at the USC School of Cinematic Arts. In a conversation with film professor Jan Holmberg, they discuss what unites the two directors’ dreamlike cinematic landscapes.
