A Grand Festival on a Small Island

Bergman Week

When the world is burning and frightens us, culture fights back by holding up a mirror to the horrors and stripping the monsters down to their very souls. Bergman Week 2025 will be dedicated to the theme of horror. Under the title “Between Night and Dawn,” we will explore horror cinema in general and the horror elements in Bergman’s work in particular. Over the years, the festival has been visited by a long line of prominent guests – Ang Lee, Yorgos Lanthimos, Greta Gerwig, Noah Baumbach, Mia Hansen-Løve, Sally Potter, Tim Roth, Olivier Assayas, Ari Aster, Willem Dafoe, Harriet Andersson, Asghar Farhadi, Aubrey Plaza – and many more.

Bergman Week 2025

This year's Bergman Week has the theme: horror and will take place on Fårö from June 23–27.

On April 16, we will release this year's edition of the Gold Card. For a one-time fee, you can pre-book tickets to the festival three days before the general public.

On May 9, we will release the full program! At that point, those with the Golden Card can also start booking tickets. On May 12, tickets will be available for everyone!

As usual, we will host international and Swedish guests, offer fantastic views of Fårö, safaris in Bergmanland, theater, music, and of course, film, film, film!

Feel free to follow us on Facebook and Instagram to stay updated on which stars will be visiting Bergman Week 2025.

Tip! On our Vimeo, you can watch recorded conversations with some of our previous guests, including Harriet Andersson, Mia Hansen-Løve, Tim Roth, and Yorgos Lanthimos.
