Bergman Week 2026

This summer the 23d edition of Bergman Week will be arranged on Fårö, the Baltic isle that for 40 years was the home of Ingmar Bergman.

The festival – five days dedicated to Bergman’s work and creative output as well as contemporary film and theatre – is an intimate event that serves as a meeting point for people with a passion for film – with seminars, screenings, performances, lectures, international guests and guided tours to the locations of the seven films Bergman shot on Fårö, Persona, Scenes from a Marriage and Through a Glass Darkly most famously among these.
