In Bergman’s first colour film, the critic and Don Juan-like character Cornelius writes a biography of the cello virtuoso Felix. When the famous artist dies, he is mourned by a whole flock of beautiful widows, and Cornelius’ goals and intentions take on a different direction. Jarl Kulle excels in entertaining one-man theater in this wacky film.
