Bike Safari in Bergman Land

THIS SAFARI WILL BE HELD IN ENGLISH
Every Tuesday morning from July 9th to August 13th, we roll out from the Bergman Center towards Dämba on your own or a rented bike to visit filming locations from some of Ingmar Bergman's most iconic films. During the guided tour, we visit filming locations for Persona, Through a Glass Darkly, and Scenes from a Marriage, and discuss the films and the significance of the landscape.

We start by cycling to Dämba, where we watch some clips in Bergman's own "cinematograph." Here, we will also have a coffee/juice break with sandwiches. We then continue towards Hammars Cliffs, the filming location for Persona. We finish by cycling the scenic route along the sea towards Hammars Beach, where Bergman's Oscar-winning film Through a Glass Darkly was shot. After 2.5-3 hours, we return to the Bergman Center. The tour is led by Bergman Center guides Inger Söderdahl, Chris Lizell, or Bergman Center chairperson Jannike Åhlund.

Departure: 11:00 AM, gathering at 10:45 AM
Time: The tour takes just over 2.5 hours at a comfortable pace
Distance: Just under 15 km (with four stops)
Price: 450 SEK, half price for children under 15. Coffee/tea + sandwich included.

Bikes available for rental at the Bergman Center, 150 SEK. Maximum 13 participants per tour – first come, first served!
Bookings can be made until 3:00 PM the day before. Cancellations can be made until the Sunday before the safari. In case of uncertain weather, call 0760 – 22 59 36 for information about potential cancellations.
